Annotation: For Muslims, it has always been an important issue to visit the holy cities in an organized manner, in peace and quiet, to fulfill their duties in accordance with the norms of Shariah. As for the Hajj, one of the five pillars of Islam, 25 verses and a separate sura are revealed in the Qur'an. This article discusses the pilgrimage of Muslims in Central Asia and the state of pilgrimage during the colonial period of tsarist Russia.
