Annotation: This article analyzes the significance of migration processes in human history and their role in socio-economic, political and cultural relations. It also provides information on the rights and interests of migrants, as well as on human trafficking and refugee issues, based on the international legal system and human rights declarations. Human trafficking is considered a global problem, with women and children considered the most affected groups. The article also provides international legal documents and their significance for refugees, as well as statistical data provided by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
