Annotation: The article discusses the importance of the science of music in the upbringing of harmoniously developed personalities of our great ancestors, the unique contribution to the formation of the younger generation as a person. It has been shown that in order to better develop children’s artistic comprehension in listening to music, it is possible to achieve this by setting theoretical and methodological tasks in teaching children to listen to music in preschools and implementing three factors that play a key role in fulfilling these tasks. When teaching children to listen to classical maqom works in preschool education, the music teacher should take a creative approach to the process, taking into account the age characteristics of children, and teach them to understand these classics in different ways. they help to develop a sense of national identity, high artistic and aesthetic taste and thinking. The article also provides methodological advice on how to teach a music teacher to listen to maqom works during a music lesson.
