Annotation: This article analyzes the role and mechanisms of the school principal in working with children from problematic families. The psychological and social problems of children raised in problematic families, effective strategies for the school administration in their socialization, methods of cooperation with parents, and mechanisms for providing pedagogical and social assistance are considered. Special attention is also paid to the cooperation of psychological services, social educators, and class leaders in adapting students to society.
