Annotation: In this article, it is analyzed that translation is a matter of social need, that the translation is the responsibility of the translator in the process of natural linguistic development. The translation of a work of art is fundamentally different from the translation of socio-political and scientific-technical texts. It is necessary for the translator of a work of art to be able to correctly use various tools, in particular, lexical-structural transformations.
