Annotation: Our research focuses on analyzing the theoretical foundations of developing scientific-methodical competence among higher education students and exploring the possibilities of enhancing this process based on a neuro-pedagogical approach. The essence of scientific-methodical competence was clarified and its structural components were systematized, including research literacy, analytical and critical thinking, methodological design, innovative pedagogical activity and reflective skills. The review of scholarly literature revealed that traditional teaching approaches are insufficient for effective development of scientific-methodical competence, while neuro-pedagogy, by relying on the natural mechanisms of brain-based learning, enhances cognitive activity, strengthens research motivation and develops methodological thinking. Within the framework of the study, a staged neuro-pedagogical model was proposed for the development of scientific-methodical competence and its theoretical justification was presented. The findings confirm that a neuro-pedagogy-based educational environment in higher education significantly contributes to the development of students’ scientific-methodical capacity and supports the training of competitive specialists.
