Annotation: This article explores methods for developing students' logical thinking and problem-solving skills through solving mathematical problems. In particular, it presents a step-by-step methodology for teaching motion-related problems, emphasizing the importance of understanding problem conditions, analyzing their essence, and forming equations. Examples such as movement along a river current and navigating different terrains are used to illustrate effective teaching strategies. At each stage, students enhance their abilities to analyze problem statements, introduce variables, and construct equations. The article also highlights the effectiveness of applying this approach to other types of mathematical problems, including those related to numbers, percentages, and mixtures. This teaching method not only fosters students' academic problem-solving skills but also equips them with the ability to address real-life challenges in the future.

Keywords: Mathematical problems, logical thinking, problem solving, motion problems, equation formation, river current, terrain, students’ skills, teaching methodology, real-life situations.
