Annotation: Theoretical methods occupy a leading place in scientific and pedagogical research. In each research, it is necessary to select the object of study, to determine the facts on which the object depends on the theoretical analysis, and to select the leaders from them to check. It is necessary to draw up a hypothesis for clearly defining the goals and tasks of the research, accordingly, to develop a research methodology, to choose the methods of explaining and analyzing the facts obtained during the research, and to express the conclusions. To carry out all these works, it is necessary to study and analyze literary sources that illuminate the theory and practice of the researched issue in the past and at the present time. Theoretical methods, along with other methods, are used in every research related to the methodology of mathematics. When solving any scientific problem, first of all, it is necessary to study all the literature related to the problem and conduct theoretical research. Without it, it will not be focused on the goal, the experiment will sometimes be carried out by mistakes, and at the same time it will not always lead to the full involvement of the problem at hand.
