Annotation: This article explores the influence of Orientalist views on the formation of the United Kingdom's foreign policy, as well as the role of British think tanks in this process. It examines the historical aspects of Orientalism as a cultural and political concept in the context of British foreign policy, from the colonial era to the present day. It also analyzes how think tanks such as Chatham House and RUSI shaped the perception of the East and defined British interests in the Middle East and Central Asia.
