Annotation: The “speech mask” is one of the important aspects of narratology. In literary works, the speech mask is used as a symbol or metaphor, reflecting various aspects of communication and social camouflage. This article examines the expression of the speech mask and its meaning in the stories of the famous Uzbek writer Utkir Hashimov. The author's writing skills and the simple village life described in his works are discussed.
