Annotation: In this article, there are double verses that are created as a result of adding verses that are equal to each other in weight, rhythm (rhythm) and tone, based on the poetry of the Turkic peoples, including the Uzbeks. Since the evenness and melodiousness of verses are determined only by couplets, this is confirmed in the theory of the structure of the poem. Based on this, we can say that the formal foundations of verse in Uzbek classical poetry are connected with the history of folk songs. It is believed that the theoretical views on the creation of a verse with special requirements, based on the Aruz system, were formed later under the influence of Arabic and Persian-Tajik poetics.
