Annotation: This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the historical and mythological roots of the Persian-Tajik epic, with a focus on its highest example — Abulqosim Firdawsi's Shahnameh. The study examines the impact of this epic legacy on historical nations, especially Uzbek literature. Furthermore, it discusses the creative influence of prominent thinkers such as Firdawsi, Nizami, Jami, Saadi, and Amir Khusraw on Uzbek literary tradition. The significant research conducted by Hamidjon Homidiy on the study of Shahnameh is also analyzed.
