Annotation: This article discusses the place and role of opera in shaping the musical thinking of students and youth, along with our traditional musical heritage in the context of the spiritual renewal of society. In turn, in terms of the need for research, the question of the formation of musical thinking in students as a component of spiritual development is discussed.
