Author: Usmonova, Shoxista Ikrom qizi; Xodiyeva, Mohidil Sherali qizi

Annotation: This article addresses contextual expressions of time and space in Uzbek, emphasizing that temporal and locative meanings are shaped not only by grammatical markers but also by textual, situational, and discourse factors. The article examines key contextualization mechanisms, focusing on the interaction of deixis, aspectuality, and locative relations. The dataset consists of selected fiction and journalistic excerpts processed with a corpus-oriented logic; the analysis employs a functional-semantic field approach and systematic interpretation of contextual cues. The novelty lies in proposing a unified model that explains how tense forms acquire spatial components and how locative units metaphorically and pragmatically encode temporal reference. The findings offer practical implications for language teaching, translation studies, and automatic text processing, providing criteria for identifying and classifying contextual time-space markers in Uzbek discourse.

Keywords: context, tense, space, deixis, locativity, aspectuality, discourse.
