O‘ZBEK TILIDAN INGLIZ TILIGA AMALGA OSHIRILGAN TARJIMALAR XUSUSIDA

Annotation: The article explores the history and current state of the translation of Uzbek literary masterpieces into English. The author analyzes the extent and methods of translating works by Alisher Navoi, Abdulla Qodiriy, Cholpon, Oybek, and Gafur Gulyam, highlighting the contributions of both local and foreign translators. Special emphasis is placed on the direct translation of Cholpon’s novel "Night and Day" by American scholar Christopher Fort. The paper examines the challenges of preserving artistic and stylistic nuances, as well as the national spirit, in the process of literary translation.
