Annotation: This article analyzes the linguistic and cultural aspects of phraseological units in the English and Uzbek languages. The phraseological composition of each language is a unique part of the culture of the nation. Because it reflects people's lifestyle, values and traditions, stereotypes and symbols. The main features of phraseological units are characterized by cultural specificity. A comparative analysis was given and some concrete examples were given to determine whether the study of phraseological units of a specific culture helps to better understand the way of life of a country, focusing on the internal form of the phraseological unit as the primary interpretation of reality and the subsequent fixation of the image in the language.
