Annotation: In recent years, the issues of legal regulation of family relations involving foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Republic of Uzbekistan are gaining special relevance. In international private law, relations involving persons who are citizens of foreign countries, that is, for example, their mutual marriage or the conclusion of an agreement on the payment of alimony by a spouse who does not have common citizenship, are called relations involving a foreign element. The significant increase in the number of marriages of citizens of Uzbekistan with foreign citizens means that the research topic is relevant today. In this case, differences arise in various relations with the participation of a foreign element, i.e., in marriage, termination of marriage, invalidation of marriage, personal property and property relations between spouses, and property relations between parents and children. The article examines issues such as which state law applies in cases where there is a foreign element complicated by family relations, and which state bodies are authorized to make decisions on one or another issue arising from family relations.

Keywords: complicated relationship with a foreign element, lame marriage, collision norm, collision binders, monogamous marriage, polygamous marriage.
