Annotation: This article, based on the experience of foreign countries, discussed the main provisions regarding the assistant advocate, the requirements for him to become an assistant advocate, persons who cannot be assistant advocates, documents regarding the regulation of the activities of the assistant advocate, adopted by the Chamber of Advocates of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The authors paid particular attention to the inclusion of the assistant advocate in the list of persons who in the future cannot be questioned as witnesses for advocate’s secrecy, and the fact that the employment contract concluded with the assistant advocate should be urgent.
