Annotation: This thesis analyzes the constitutional and legal foundations for regulating interethnic relations in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The study examines the characteristics of national policy implemented during the Soviet period, its impact on interethnic relations, as well as the reforms carried out in this field during the years of independence. The principles of interethnic equality, non-discrimination, and the protection of national and cultural rights enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan are substantiated from a scientific and legal perspective. In addition, the paper reveals the content of state policy aimed at strengthening interethnic harmony and civic unity in the period of the “New Uzbekistan”.
