Annotation: Uzbekistan's socio-political and economic development, like that of many other countries, is closely tied to its natural resources, particularly water. The effective implementation of water policy is a key factor in ensuring the country's sustainable development. This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the historical foundations, current state, and future prospects of water policy in Uzbekistan. Key challenges in managing and efficiently utilizing water resources, including climate change and transboundary water issues, are discussed, with practical solutions proposed. Additionally, the legal frameworks concerning water conservation, supply, and management system improvements are reviewed, with recommendations for further development.
