Annotation: The article is devoted to the issues of the correct use of paralinguistic means and their relationship with the culture of speech. The author touches upon the issues of intercultural conflict in the case of incorrect application of paralinguistic means. Analyzing the scientific literature on linguistics, cultural studies, and pedagogy, the author highlights the issues of the choice and organization of linguistic and non-verbal means, without disrupting the norms of the literary language in its oral and written form. The problem of the norm of the use of paraphonetic and parakinesic means is also put forward, which the author refers to the section of the study of intercultural communication.
