Annotation: In the period of evolutionary development, helminths are highly adapted to live a parasitic life, especially to digest substances anaerobically, according to the morphological structure of their bodies. The peculiarity of substance and energy exchange in helminths is a biochemical description of adaptation to life as an anaerobic organism. The main signs of adaptation of helminths to a parasitic lifestyle are the extinction of the activity of some enzyme systems during adulthood, rapid growth, development and provision of protein biosynthesis in order to leave a large number of offspring.
