Annotation: This article analyzed the essence and concept of the definition of personal data both in international law and in local legislation. Through an in-depth study of international treaties and legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the concept and information about personal data were analyzed and compared. The most effective measures and methods for protecting personal data in the modern and technologically advanced digital world were identified.
