Annotation: At the time of Pakistan’s declaration of independence, the basis of statehood was not ethnic but cultural and religious factors, which already contained the potential forseparatism. Today, ethnic separatism is manifesting in virtually every region of the continent and poses a serious threat to international stability and security, such as religious extremism and drug addiction. The article analyzes the origins and causes of ethnic separatism in Pakistan and reveals the current state of ethnic separatism in Pakistan.
