Annotation: The article is devoted to the study of pragmatic features and text-forming functions of phrases in the Russian and Uzbek languages. Lexical-semantic, syntactic and stylistic aspects of their functioning are considered. The role of phrases in creating the integrity of the text and their influence on the pragmatic meaning of utterances is analyzed. Comparative data are provided illustrating the differences and similarities in the use of phrases in the two languages.
