Annotation: This paper examines the joint performance of PLC and SCADA systems in automating agricultural and water management enterprises. A four-tier PLC-SCADA architecture based on the Purdue Reference Model is analyzed. Field experiments at seven large agro-industrial enterprises in Uzbekistan (2021–2024) demonstrate that proper integration improves OEE by 22.4%, reduces energy consumption by 21.1%, and decreases water losses in irrigation systems by 18.6% (p<0.01).
