Annotation: This article analyzes the specific features, development trends and socio-cultural connections of the ghazal genre in the Kokand literary environment. First of all, it shows how the general normative aspects of the ghazal genre - such as the structure of the verse, adherence to the rule of radif-makol, the independence of lines, the complexity of meanings and imagery - were interpreted in the work of Kokand poets through examples. In general, the article reveals the interactive connections between the Kokand literary environment and the ghazal genre, and attempts to identify regional specificities in the ghazal based on new artistic and analytical criteria.
