Annotation: The article proves the relationship between language and STEAM learning for English learners. English learners (ELs) develop science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM) knowledge and language proficiency when they are engaged in meaningful interaction in the classroom and participate in the kinds of activities in which STEAM experts and professionals regularly engage. This article provides the views of the inextricable relationship between language and content. It articulates the ways in which ELs can be afforded opportunities in the lesson using STEAM technologies to draw on language and other meaning-making resources while engaging in disciplinary content. The role of language and culture in STEAM learning is explained in the article.
