Annotation: The article "The Role of Parenting Style in the Development of Emotional Intelligence in Children" examines the influence of different parenting styles on the development of emotional intelligence (EI) in children. The study analyzes the main parenting approaches, including authoritarian, authoritative, permissive and disinterested styles, and their relationship with the development of such components of EI in children as self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy and social skills. The authors provide empirical research data and theoretical justifications indicating that the authoritative parenting style is most favorable for the development of high levels of emotional intelligence. The article also discusses practical recommendations for parents wishing to promote the development of EI in their children, such as creating an emotionally supportive environment, developing active listening skills and encouraging self-expression. The conclusion emphasizes the importance of parents being aware of their parenting style and its impact on the emotional and psychological well-being of their children.
