Annotation: The Russian Empire focused its extensive colonial policy on conquering Central Asia. This article analyzes the stages of the conquest of the Central Asian khanate by the Russian Empire, the struggle of the local population against the Russian invasion, the interpretation of the surrender of the Central Asian khanate in local and German literature.
