Annotation: In this article, in connection with the need to study foreign languages in educational institutions of our country and non-state educational institutions today, fundamental, linguistic, sociocultural, communicative methods of teaching English with the help of modern technologies and new techniques are comparatively examined. analyzed, their place and importance in the educational process are shown, scientific products are highlighted. The ways of teaching students English using modern pedagogical technologies are discussed. The focus is on aspects such as listening comprehension and reading at home.
