Annotation: This article highlights the philosophical, ecological, and social aspects of humanity's relationship with nature, as well as the significance of acquiring environmental knowledge. The author analyzes the possibilities of overcoming modern global environmental problems through a deep understanding of the laws of nature and reliance on scientific knowledge. The paper substantiates the role of environmental education and upbringing in shaping the worldview of the younger generation and creating a system of responsible and rational attitude towards nature. It is also demonstrated that systematic knowledge about nature is an essential factor in human spiritual development and sustainable development.
