Annotation: The article presents an analysis of existing methods and approaches to assessing the residual life of elements of the supporting structures of traction rolling stock. This paper presents reliability indicators and methods for assessing reliability when using traction rolling stock. An analysis of the characteristics characterizing the reliability of technical objects is presented. To confirm the reliability of the forces acting on the movement, algebraic formulas are given.
