Annotation: This article examines scholars’ approach and the relation between translation and intertextuality from two perspectives. The first is translation as intertextuality or as an intertextual practice, and the second is translation of intertextuality. Although scholars address different aspects of this relationship, such as the nature of meaning, and the status of the translator and of the target text, they converge on the notion that translation is an intertextual event.
