Annotation: In this article, the role of dictation on elementary grades is discussed. Dictation is a strategy that is useful for the learning process. Dictation is a teaching strategy applied by providing instructions effectively to students. Dictation has several advantages, such as practicing students listening skills, training students to distinguish sounds, enable students to interpret spoken language to a written language, help students to develop their understanding, and help students to evaluate their abilities in learning.
