Annotation: The scientific article examines the philosophical, methodological and value-humanistic aspects of the types of scientific rationality. The transformation of ideas about the nature of scientific rationality in philosophical retrospect is shown. An analysis of rationality as a heterogeneous phenomenon is carried out. The views of Central Asian thinkers on the problem of reason, knowledge, values and their role in the process of cognition are considered. The dialectical relationship between rationality - thinking - worldview - science - axiology is substantiated.
