Annotation: This article talks about the importance of developing the legal knowledge of general secondary school principals and using legal knowledge during practice in the effective organization of the educational process. It was emphasized that general secondary education in Uzbekistan should be a normative-legal base for the development of legal knowledge of school principals. The essence of legal competence and its scientific approaches to modern educational processes, as well as the issues of revealing the scientific basis of the working mechanism and typology of the educational process are covered.
