Annotation: In poetry, artistic modes of expression form specific stylistic and semantic devices that play an important role in enhancing the literary and aesthetic qualities of lyric works. The poetic forms employed in the works of the distinguished poet Usmon Azim stand out for their distinctiveness. In particular, the art of metaphor manifests itself in a unique and individualized style. In the poet’s creative works, metaphors serve to ensure the distinctiveness of poetic language, emerging from his creative interpretation of life events and human relationships. Metaphors, as linguopoetic means that create imagery in poetic texts, define the poet’s individual style as a product of Usmon Azim’s artistic and aesthetic thinking. This article substantiates the poet’s mastery in creating artistic imagery, illustrated through examples from his poetry.
