Annotation: Traditional Uighur medicine is regarded as a unique ethno-linguistic cultural system with extensive theoretical, practical, and logical experience, aimed at preventing and treating diseases by normalizing neurophysiological and psychophysiological states in the human body. This article attempts to evaluate the conceptual-cognitive aspects of the ongoing research toward a clearer understanding of traditional Uighur medicine. It also explores the ethnolinguistic and cultural features, as well as the lexical ideas, inherent in the terminology of Uighur medicine. The aim of this article is to present analytical scientific conclusions from the perspective of linguistic knowledge about traditional and non-traditional Uighur medicine, based on texts provided in Uighur, Uzbek, Russian, and English, as well as materials from mass media sources.
