Annotation: This article discusses the classification of raw material plants into types based on their biological and chemical composition, their role in the national economy, especially in the pharmaceutical, food, textile and technical industries. The division into different groups based on the main active substances found in plants - sugars, vegetable oils and tannins - determines their practical significance. Also, general classification information is provided about the types of plants that provide rubber and resin, are medicinal, used for textiles and are a source of other useful raw materials.
