Annotation: The Middle East, namely the Islamic Republic of Iran, is a region rich in oil resources, and if we talk about the Persian Gulf, which borders this country, the continuation of the flow of oil from the Gulf is a crucial factor in ensuring the economic well-being of the world. The Persian Gulf is also one of the few regions whose importance for Western countries is clear. The Arab monarchies in this region, when it became clear in the 1950s that oil was becoming a real source of income that could lead these countries out of centuries of backwardness and onto the path of modernization, felt the need for concerted action to protect their national interests in the oil sector.
