Annotation: This article discusses the importance of modern electronics in a technologically advanced society. The use of semiconductors and semiconductor materials is noted in connection with their role in modern electronics. In addition, the prospects for the development of the fields of semiconductors, radioelectronics, and optoelectronics industries were studied. The use of semiconductor materials and devices for their preparation is analyzed.
