Annotation: The article examines the meanings of verbs with the prefix "pod-" in Russian and proposes effective methods for studying them. Six methods for working with verbs are described: cluster, mind map, associative chains, role-playing games, creative writing and the flashcard method. Particular attention is paid to textual work on the theme of the Motherland, which allows not only to develop linguistic competence, but also to form spiritual and moral values. Examples of verbs, exercises, and assignments for students are provided. The material can be used in Russian language lessons for both Russian-speaking students and those learning Russian as a foreign language.
